Purple Pandas Discover Snowy Habitat At Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Children aren’t the one ones having fun with this snow day.

A few of the animals at Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium are having enjoyable frolicking within the snow.

The zoo launched a video of their curious pink pandas exploring and climbing of their now snowy habitat.

Wild pink pandas dwell in temperate forests and are native to Nepal, India, Bhutan, Myanmar and Southern China.

The pink pandas aren’t the one zoo residents that benefit from the chilly climate. Penguins On Parade is held each winter weekend from Dec. 4 and Feb. 27, climate allowing.

When the temperatures are under 45 levels, the zookeepers at PPG Aquarium permit the penguins to waddle round exterior for a couple of half an hour.
