Dallas Zoo says its assist set up almost 1,500 penguin nests in South Africa


DALLAS (KDAF) — April 25 is World Penguin Day and Dallas Zoo is chiming in on the worldwide vacation with photos and an announcement of a significant milestone.

Zoo officers tweeted, “Pleased #WorldPenguinDay! On the Zoo, our penguins are presently off-habitat due to avian flu in Texas. To assist defend endangered African penguins within the wild, we’ve partnered with Dyer Island Conservation Belief to put in almost 1,500 synthetic nests throughout South Africa.”
