Little penguin turns 21 in Adelaide


Australia’s oldest little penguin in captivity has turned 21.

Gordon has lived on the Adelaide Zoo for the previous 20 years and has fathered 4 daughters.

He celebrated the milestone on Monday with a birthday cake product of pilchards.

Adelaide Zoo has 29 little penguins with hopes of extra being born in the course of the present breeding seasons.
